Using the Boldermail WordPress plugin is easy, but it requires a few steps before being able to work properly! If you don’t understand how Boldermail works, you may check the “How It Works” page before proceeding.
To start using Boldermail, follow these steps:
This subscription will pay for your server at Boldermail. At the moment, we only have a single subscription plan. Our testing showed that our default server setup can handle lists of up to 100,000 subscribers without a problem. If your list is larger than this, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss options with you.
Amazon will bill you only when you send an email at a rate of $0.0001 per email. Even though you are paying two companies, us and Amazon, you will still save a lot of money by using our services. You may use our calculator here to compare costs.
Think of it as creating a user in your WordPress dashboard, and assigning such user the role of “Contributor”. The user you create for us in your Amazon Web Services account will have limited access to your account, and we will use this access to setup Amazon Simple Email Services, and to connect your Boldermail server to Amazon for you!
4. Wait for It
After completing the 3 previous steps, wait to receive an email from us within 24-48 hours. The email will contain credentials (think of a license number) to connect WordPress to your Boldermail server.
5. Install the Boldermail plugin and connect the plugin to your Boldermail server
You can download your plugin from your account page, under the Download tabs. On your website, navigate to Plugins >> Add New, and click on Upload Plugin at the top. Select the file you downloaded from us, and click on Activate. Use the credentials you received in Step 4, and enter them in your Boldermail plugin settings. In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Newsletters >> Settings, and fill the Boldermail URL, API, and Brand ID fields.
6. Read the documentation to start managing your subscribers and designing your email campaigns
You can find the documentation on how to use the Boldermail plugin here.
